2025 AIA Summer Internship Programme -Compliance- Group Risk Management

The Programme

The purpose of our 10-weeks programme is to provide students who are passionate about the Insurance industry with the opportunity to understand our business through hands-on work experience, projects and programme activities.

About the Role:

University students who are curious about insurance, passionate learners and thrive in a fast-changing environment.

What You Will Do

Depending on the suitable development opportunities in Group Internal Audit:

In the Group Operational Risk Management Team, you may be involved in:

  • Support on the design, development, and testing of BCM System new features and functionality enhancement projects aimed at:
    • Critical Staff and Dependency Automated Notifications promoting a more pro-active BCM approach to changes affecting recoverability of plans
    • Email notification to be sent to Critical Staff with information on next step to take and expectations as critical staff.
    • Email notification to be sent to BCCs when their departments are added as a dependency or when the RTO requirements of dependency business functions changes.
    • Integration and Automation between the business continuity planning templates Integration and Automation between BIA/BCP/Testing workflows/templates ensuring direct integration with the golden data sources (Workday/ IT system repository). 

In the Group Technology Risk Management Team, you may be involved in:

Tech Risk Intern:

  • Support the Technology Risk Management team in Group Office in identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology-related risk across AIA Group. 

The candidate will gain hands-on experience in risk management frameworks, industry best practices, and governance processes. 

Tech Risk Intern (Dev Based):

  • Support the development, customization, and maintenance of business applications and solutions using PowerApps, PowerBI, Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence) and SharePoint.
  • Work closely with the team to design, develop new solutions and maintain existing solutions. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Students from all backgrounds and fields of study who are in your penultimate year of study.
  • Excellent teammate and curious learner.
  • Ability to multi-task, quick to adapt and able to work in fast paced work environment.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Strong digital literacy required, proficient in Microsoft Office.
