2025 Group Office Summer Internship Programme–Data-Group Internal Audit

The Programme

The purpose of our 10-weeks programme is to provide students who are passionate about the Insurance industry with the opportunity to understand our business through hands-on work experience, projects and programme activities.

About the Role:

University students who are curious about insurance, passionate learners and thrive in a fast-changing environment.

What You Will Do

Depending on the suitable development opportunities in Group Internal Audit:

In the Information Technology Audit / Corporate Audit team, you may be involved in:

  • Various stages of audit engagements, where appropriate, including audit planning and fieldwork, progress reporting, tracking of management actions and other administrative tasks.
  • Supporting the team in meeting GIA’s Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance Review requirements. 

In the Professional and Technical Services team, you may be involved in:

  • Administration of audit software and other tools and templates adopted widely in GIA.
  • Data generation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Preparation of reporting materials to Board Audit Committee and senior management.

In the Data Analytics team, you may be involved in:

  • Providing support in the execution of analytics and management information dashboards within GIA.
  • Assisting the development of “Audit of the Future” initiative, including but not limited to the rollout of audit platform, migration to enterprise DA tools, and supporting the usage of artificial intelligence tools. 

You may also be involved in other areas in GIA such as staff engagement event coordination and other ad-hoc assignments.

The opportunity will equip the candidates with better understanding in the internal audit function of a large world leading insurance organization. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Students from all backgrounds and disciplines who are in your penultimate year of study.
  • Excellent team player and passionate learner.
  • Ability to multi-task, quick to adapt and able to work in fast changing environment.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Strong computer skills required, well versed in Microsoft Office.
