We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Intern to join the team. 

This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compliance and legal matters within a corporate setting.  

The intern will support the Compliance team in various tasks, helping ensure that the company adheres to internal policies and external regulations. 

What You Will Do 

  • To help maintaining the Regulatory Handbook issued by Bank Negara Malaysia (“BNM”). 
  • To map line by line the gap analysis on newly released Notification, Exposure Draft, and Policy Document by Bank Negara
  • Malaysia into the excel tracker to revise with the compliance officer. 
  • Support the team in preparing the Law Enforcement Agency related matters. 
  • Support the team in reviewing the internal transactions monitoring and onboarding case review. 
  • Support the team in reviewing and validating the document for the third-party due diligence exercise (e.g. Service providers, partners).
  • Perform administrative tasks or other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Compliance Officer. 

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Currently pursuing or Completed Bachelor of Law / Economics.  
  • Degree/Business Administration or equivalent. 
  • Min 3-months of internship duration.  
  • Have excellent analytical skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage tasks independently. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word.  
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Articulate and ability to use initiative, analytical skills and logical abilities and work with minimal supervision with a strong commitment to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff / diverse personalities.
