Ashurst First Nations Legal Internship is one way you can be in the room.
The Ashurst First Nations Legal Internship offers a unique opportunity for First Nations law students to gain hands-on experience in a commercial legal setting. This two-week paid internship is designed to provide participants with valuable exposure to the legal profession.
Program Details
· Duration: Monday, 21 July 2025 to Friday, 1 August 2025
· Locations: Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney offices
What to Expect
· Legal Work: Engage in real legal tasks and projects.
· Development and Research: Participate in activities that enhance your legal knowledge and skills.
· Mentorship: Each intern will be paired with a buddy and a supervising lawyer to guide and support them throughout the placement.
Eligibility
This opportunity is available to all First Nations law students who are not in their first or final years of study in 2025. These internships are intended as measures which reflect our commitments set out in our Reconciliation Action Plan, and are designed to meet the relevant exemptions in the applicable state and Commonwealth anti-discrimination legislation.
