Read through the available programs and streams to determine your interest and eligibility.

If you're in your final year of university study, or graduated in the last five years, you may be eligible for the Australian Government Graduate Program.

If you're looking to launch your career while you're still studying, explore our Cadet programs.

If you're recently finished high school, want to start your career, or are looking for a career change, you might be interested in an Apprentice program.

- Online application
When applications for your chosen program open, be prepared with your resume, academic transcripts and proof of your Australian citizenship.
- Online testing and/or video interview
You may be invited to complete online testing and/or a video interview. These may involve problem solving, numerical reasoning, and behavioural or emotional testing.
- Assessment centre
Some programs require applicants to participate in an assessment centre. You may be asked to take part in activities such as panel interviews, group presentations or written tasks.
- Reference checks
We'll undertake reference checks with your chosen referees.
- Matching and offers
Successful applicants are matched with a suitable placement in an Australian Government department or agency.
